Punchdrunk Brings “Sleep No More” to NYC

Punchdrunk is opening their NYC première of Sleep No More tonight in Chelsea. Sleep No More is a site specific rendition of Macbeth with overtones of Hitchcock. Since Christmas I have been assisting the designers on the show, doing everything from research, to set decoration, to writing up the psychological files of Lady Macbeth.

The Press Release Photo- This room is actually a room I helped to dress. The elk in the back was difficult to move but surprisingly not that heavy (and yes, it is real).

Reviews have not yet come out but already the media is buzzing. We have had notices in the New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Village Voice and Playbill. While we are not allowed to release photos of the space at any point (part of the allure of the show is discovering the rooms-within-rooms that have been created for the piece) I did have a few tidbits that hopefully won’t give anything away. Enjoy! If you want to come see the show tickets are here.
